Department Council - Research

The Department Council is the planning and management body of the Department's activities. In particular, with regard to research activities:

  • promotes and coordinates research activities;
  • approves the Department's Research Quality Policy in line with the University's Research Quality Policy;
  • approves the Department's annual and three-year research plans, in line with the University's strategic plans, the operational objectives to be pursued (verifying that they are clearly measurable), the targets and improvement strategies and also indicating the costs and methods of financial coverage;
  • promotes the establishment of doctorates;
  • promotes the internationalization of research;
  • approves interdepartmental research programs;
  • proposes the establishment of scientific platforms for carrying out single or more research projects of particular complexity of a multidisciplinary nature and approves their participation;
  • monitors the good performance and quality of scientific research activities;
  • establishes the use of resources and spaces assigned to the Department to be used for scientific research;
  • approves the SUA-RD Form, including the annual and three-year reviews;
  • annually draws up and approves a report on the activity carried out by the Department in the field of scientific research to be attached to the Report and to be sent to the MR, the SA, the CDA, the NVA and the Quality Team;
  • approves the three-year reports on scientific activity and deliberates on leave for scientific research reasons, based on the research activity plan.
