International Activities of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Sciences (DiSOMax)
The activities of DiSOMax are organized into several areas. In line with the University's guidelines, the Department offers students opportunities to study or undertake internships abroad, while simultaneously welcoming students, researchers, and professors from other institutions.
This is made possible through the development of several internationalization strands over the years:
1) ERASMUS+ BILATERAL AGREEMENTS
Over the last 10 years, international agreements have been implemented for the exchange of students within the Department's degree programs (Degree in Dentistry and Degrees in Dental Hygiene). Currently, bilateral agreements have been signed with the following European Universities:
University of Pecs (Hungary)
University of Belgrade (Serbia)
University of Vilnius (Lithuania)
University of Valencia (Spain)
University of Szczecinski (Poland)
University of Wroclaw (Poland)
University of Barcelona (Spain)
University of Lublin (Poland)
University of Ankara (Turkey)
University of Murcia (Spain)
University of Berlin (Germany)
University of Plovdiv (Bulgaria)
Medical University of Bialystok (Poland)
Dental School University of Osijek (Croatia)
Karolinska Institutet (Stockholm, Sweden)
Excluding the Covid-19 pandemic period, the Degree Program in Dentistry has seen a growing trend in recent years regarding both incoming and outgoing student mobility.
2) ERASMUS TRAINEESHIP
The Erasmus+ Program allows for a mobility period under the "Erasmus+ for Traineeship" scheme, enabling students to gain internship experience at public or private companies in participating European countries. In recent years, our Department has hosted several trainees who attended various units of the Clinical Department for a maximum period of 3 months.
Participants included students from:
Zagreb University (Croatia)
Medical University of Gdańsk (Poland)
Ege University (Turkey)
Gazi University (Turkey)
Vilnius University (Lithuania)
Szczecin University (Poland)
3) CIVIS ALLIANCE
CIVIS is a European Civic University formed by an alliance of 10 leading research-based higher education institutions across Europe:
